About the event
Play basketball to learn to thrive in a world with Artificial Intelligence by doing the opposite of what AI does.Â
By playing basketball we give ourselves opportunities to process things in the opposite way to AI. Instead of treating each other as Lego-like pieces in a game plan, we see each other as blocking our line of sight and we make decisions on how to move around each other to see something we were not expecting to see, and we often express our surprise by saying "Wow."Â
We improve in-game decision-making by transcending mechanical thinking. We learn to thrive in a world with AI, by doing the opposite of what AI does.
As we accumulate practical experience, our viewpoint evolves from merely observing how AI organizes components to understanding the relationships and connections that illustrate how everything flows. This shift allows us to make decisions that are more effective than those made by AI.
There's is no requirement to be athletic or proficient in basketball. It’s 16 to 60+ who want to acquire skills that contrast with those performed by AI.

We play in a 1.2.3 Wow zone.

- Switch off the impulse to build Lego-like pieces of skills and knowledge into a specified game plan; andÂ
- Embrace a serene sense of togetherness, equilibrium, tranquility, and awareness of our surroundings, and select a micro routine of movement to initiate moving around what we see; andÂ
- Take a moment to reflect on how the micro routine of movement changed what is going on around us, then select and execute another micro routine, repeating this until we move past the things around us and see something we didn't expect to see. A moment that truly wow's us. A Wow moment.
We utilize competition to inspire each other to do 1.2.3. Wow. A game becomes a platform for self-expression, where individuals utilize their unique talents, circumstances, and physical abilities to craft collaborative and memorable Wow moments. Winning or losing every Wow moment pulls us towards unseen opportunity.
Mixed. Parents can join in. Up to 16.
SkillsofWow.org is the governing body for those who coach the skills of Wow.
